Since Ilovu operates without user accounts, we do NOT collect or store the following information:

We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve the App’s functionality, and we do so in a way that respects your privacy. The information we may collect includes:

3.1 User Content (Memories & Profiles)

When you use the App, you will create and store User Content, including:

• Photos, videos, and audio clips you upload to preserve memories;
• Descriptions, mood tags, and other text you add to your memories;
• Personalized profiles for your loved ones (e.g., nicknames, relationship labels).

How We Use This Information: Your User Content is stored locally on your device by default. We may process your User Content only to provide App features, such as:

• Organizing memories by profile, date, or mood tag;
• Generating slideshows using your photos, videos, and selected settings;
• Enabling you to share memories with loved ones via supported platforms (at your discretion);
• Saving your preferences (e.g., slideshow templates, coin usage) for a personalized experience.

We do NOT access, view, or share your User Content with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit permission.

3.2 Device & Usage Data (Local & Anonymous)

To ensure the App runs smoothly and to improve its features, we may collect anonymous, non-identifiable device and usage data, such as:

• Device type (e.g., iPhone, Android), operating system version, and App version;
• Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of memories created, slideshows generated, coin usage patterns);
• Technical logs (e.g., app crashes, error reports) to diagnose and fix issues.

How We Use This Information: This data is collected anonymously (it cannot be linked to you personally) and is used solely to:

• Debug technical issues and improve the App’s performance;
• Understand how users interact with the App to enhance features (e.g., optimizing the coin system or slideshow tools);

4.1 Local Storage: Most of your information (including User Content and preferences) is stored locally on your device. This means you have full control over your data, and we cannot access it unless you choose to share it (e.g., via cloud backup or sharing features).

4.2 Cloud Backup (Optional): If you enable cloud backup (e.g., via iCloud or Google Drive), your User Content may be backed up to your personal cloud storage account. We do not have access to your cloud storage or backed-up data—this is managed entirely by your device’s operating system and cloud provider.

4.3 Security: We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we process, including encryption for data transmission (when sharing memories) and secure local storage. However, no method of digital storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device with passcodes, biometrics, or other security features to prevent unauthorized access to your User Content.

We respect your privacy and do NOT share your information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• With Your Consent: We may share your User Content if you explicitly authorize it (e.g., sharing a slideshow with a friend via a messaging app).

• Editing, deleting, or modifying your memories and profiles at any time;

• Uninstalling the App, which will retain your local data (you can delete this via your device’s storage settings);

7. Children’s Privacy

Ilovu is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
